YES – it is that simple.
One of my esteemed professors would have said of this skinny volume, “pabulum!” Yes it is. But to counter the dismissive tone in that: it is exactly pabulum on which new minds are reared.
The contents of the book are not deep, are not complex, are not esoteric. Instead what you get is simple, straight forward (and usu. short) prose about … well.. the stuff that a photograph IS.
Get it. Read it. Commit it to heart (internalize it, don’t memorize it).
Move on.
